Like most (everything) in life there are good and bad sides to everything. Take a nice SNOW for instance. Snow is cold, wet and really sucks if you’re driving home from Atlanta in it but there are also some fun benefits from it as well.
Sledding, Snow men, Schools out (for the UN unschoolers) and…..SNOW CREME!
HERE is how Adri Dee made a tasty healthy and vegan version in just a couple of minutes. The kids helped and it made them super proud and happy.
- Big Bowl O Snow
- Organic Cane Sugar
- Almond Milk
- Vinilla Extract
Get a bowl of snow. The clean white snow works best but for variety you can use the banana flavored yellow snow. (yak, yak, yak) My mom always said you can’t make snow creme from the first snow of the year because the first snow cleaned the chemicals out of the air. Hmmmmm, sounds like it could be bull crap but I still do it, the funny part is that my mom was usually smoking a cigarette when she said it. GHEEESSSHHH!!
First, sprinkle in a couple of tablespoons of Sugar
Next, Pour in some Almond milk until its a mixable consistency
Then, add one teaspoon of vanilla extract. We could not find ours because we are reorganizing our RV and everything is in boxes. It tasted fine without it and if you used sweetened vanilla flavored Almond Milk it would probably not be needed at all.
Last, just mix it up with a spoon or fork. Taste test and add more of what it needs until its the perfect mixture for YOU. SPOON IT OUT AND ENJOY.
I would like to try this with a mixture of Dates, Bananas and Almond milk in the blender. Then add that mix to the snow. I may try that tonight. I’ll update the blog if I do:)
